The Sound Forward Awards gives unsigned artists in the UK an opportunity to gain recognition and feedback for their music.
Entries are open across single, album, genre and digital creation categories. The awards are designed to celebrate original music, new voices and the changing way music is made.

Best Newcomer 2026
For artists releasing their first track publicly after 01/01/2026.
Best Single
For one standout track by an unsigned UK artist.
Best Album
For albums containing at least 8 tracks.
Best Digital Creation AI
For music using AI or digital tools as part of the creative process.
Best Country Song
For country music submissions.
Best Dance Song
For dance, electronic and club-focused submissions.
Best Rock Song
For rock artists, bands and releases.
Best Metal Song
For metal, heavy and alternative heavy music.
Best Pop Song
For pop artists, songs and releases.
Best Other Song
For music that does not sit neatly inside the listed genres.
